impeller parts flush?

Post by ddependo »

Have a duel pocket pump on 318 that both impeller are missing parts,
How do I get out the missing pieces? Looked in thermostat housing & saw nothing.
Thanks, Wayne

One of the more frequently mentioned places for trapped impeller pieces is the oil cooler. And, heat exchanger.

I had one where there was a 90 degree fitting on the outlet side. (Not a M) spent weeks searching found the piece stuck in the 90 elbow!
Dooooh!

If there is a place to get to and hook up water hose & back flush. a good way to get most parts out.
