Is there a source for a replacement hull sensor for the capac system? I have been searching all over the www and have come up empty handed.

Capac may have morphed into this company, Evoqua:

It's worth a call to their tech support people, Good luck

There's also this one: http://www.boatzincs.com/corrosion-refe ... trode.html

It's a basically a portable handheld CAPAC meter. You connect it to a Digital Multimeter and to the hull put the reference electrode over the side of your boat and into the water.

Come to think of it, Jeff years ago made one and loaned it to me to compare to the Capac built into the boat. It was accurate. A little less convenient but quite handy. Readings don't have to be continuous. So just use it periodically and you'll have peace of mind

Mine used a probe on a cable (forget where I bought it) and a cheapo Harbor Freight meter. You clamp the meter's negative ground to a railing, toss the probe over the side, and read the 'CAPAC' data on the 2 volts scale.

Boat Zincs probe is the way to go. I have used one for years to test other folks boats and calibrated the CAPAC on mine with it.
Now the best way it to drop the probe in have a cold one then check the readings. It takes a few min. to stabilize. Use for DC bonding tests etc. Use the digital volt meter to test for stray AC current. You pretty much have it covered then.

Found it! Wards Marine Electric in FL is the supplier. You can still buy the whole system new, or the parts.

Can I ask how much it costs for the new system? I have heard this can be a pricey option.

My CAPAC still works but the outer silver chloride surface is very dirty. I have been advised not to scrub at it. Basically keeping my fingers crossed that it stays working. I have checked it with a multimeter and it does read correctly despite the grime.

It was 600 and some change for the entire kit. Just the through hull was a little over $300.
