If you mean the little one at the mouth of the carb it's CG-11. Cheap, too

I used a METAL (5/16 inch line size) in-line filter from NAPA and with short USCG approved hoses at each end.
You may have to cut off the metal fittings in your system, which is a good idea for two reasons: I once saw one of the all-metal connected filters split open from vibration on another man's boat. The rubber hoses installation won't do that, plus it's much easier to change filters.

Hi Steve.
I chased a similar problem with my 37'.
Install a fuel pressure gauge at the inlet to your carb. use a tee.
Check the fuel pressure reading while engine is running.
Shouldn't be any more than 5 psi.
On mine the old mechanical fuel pumps were putting out enough pressure to override the float valve needle in the carb.
This was causing the engine to actual flood and stall.
The cure for me was to install a Holley fuel pressure regulator after the pump. This regular is adjustable.

Any luck?
Its not easy to do sometimes, but if you can insert a 0 to 15 psi pressure age just before the carb (and have someone watch it constantly) that will resolve whether you're having fuel or ignition problems. One down!
Good luck.

Noticed "changed carb" in the initial post. Kind of obvious, but did anything change in the linkage to the throttle cable? I mean is the carb mechanically full open when the throttle lever at the helm is full open?
