Interior trim around windows 1973 sedan
What wood was used on the interior around the windows in a 1973 32ft sedan? I have read that both Mahogany and teak were used, but from what i can gather teak came in later years. Whatever mine is it needs attention. Light sanding and spar varnish? not sure what avenue would be best. Thank you for any and all info.

Probably mahogany for that year. You are correct about the later years using teak but not sure exactly when that happened.
Sand, wipe with tack rag and use a foam brush to apply a couple/few thin coats of spar with very light sanding & wiping between coats. May also be able to sand to oil but not sure how teak oil would work with mahogany....
I prefer satin but most people seem to use gloss. I think the satin looks more conservative and hides blemishes mush better.
