Ignition Switch part number

Post by Bud719 »

Does anyone have a part number for the ignition switch? Or a source for one?

Thanks much, Bud

I replaced the lower helm start toggles with these. Been working fine for several years. Note the price has increased quite a bit.

And West Marine has a variety of models - most I did a quick look for were keyed, Am I correct: the orig models came with keyed ignition. We "hid" ours in the electrical panel behind the helm (and never locked the ignition).

Thanks Joel. The switch GB49 suggests above looks to be a replacement for mine. It is a K-Four 13-221 switch. ~$40.

Generally ignition were toggles (1980's+) The keys were either built into the Guest battery switches in the engineroom or hidden behind the helm on fabricated angle aluminum mounts. I think some of the Marquis models had the keys & battery switches under the cabin stairs.

I think Pre 1980's the ignitions were keyed?? Not sure why Marinette switched from key to toggle.
The mid 1980's (85/86) seemed to be a refinement period for the line in general.
