I just made a deal on the '86 39' convertible "BECAUSE" still listed and viewable on YACHTWORLD (YW#78999-2814902.) She is in Edgewater Maryland and will be shipped to Rockport TX. I want to sell the flybridge canopy and enclosure.

Beautiful craft. How come you don't want the top?

Shipping height?

Shipping height is one consideration. I envision a tubular radar arch and a smaller, hard bimini without the struts and straps. The Texas coast has a milder climate.

Do you (or anyone) happen to know if this would fit the FB of a 32' or is the FB sizing of the 2 boats that much different?

I don't know but it might be possible to get someone up there (Edgewater Maryland) to measure it. Maybe someone at the boatyard that is going to do haul, prep and load. My guess is the FB deck is longer on the 39 footer. The front struts attach to the coaming(sp) and the rear struts land at the back edge of the deck. That would be a critical dimension. Width would probably come closer to working.

I can say for certain, the bridge of the 37/39/41's are wider than a 32. Suppose you could make it fit, might look kinda funny.

Oh well, was worth asking.....
... one of my spring projects (#15,001) for 2017 ("into infinity and beyond...! " ) is to make a Bimini top/enclosure for the cockpit area. Plans all drawn up, material for cover purchased... Just need to fabricate a tubing bender and "take the first step" in starting the actual fabrication. FB has a Bimini top. Thought maybe, if the one presented here would fit, I'd retrofit it to our boat.
... enclosure for FB may be project # 423,024
