Question I'd have...
Our current blowers (there are 2) run off the same breaker which I'm fairly sure isn't a 30amp+ breaker. These are 15amp jobs meaning 2 of them would take a 30+ amp breaker but the existing wire wouldn't be rated for that?
And, yep, 4" ducting is what the one you've listed calls for.

Good catch Bill! Nothing is ever easy right! I would think the current installed blowers are the same rating. I really wanted plug and play! I ordered two Jabsco 250 cfm continuous duty. Set me back $400 clams.. Ouch.

Update...I am returning the 250 cfm blowers and ordering two 150s as they have a 6.5 amp draw each. Thanks to Bill's catch on our current wire rating :D :D I think the current breaker is 20 amp. I calculate my 29 has about 300 cubic feet of bilge area. Based on this article So based on the article in this link two 150 cfms will work.

Can anyone at their boat confirm the breaker/switch rating for the blowers?

Looks like two hoses coming from vent... What's that all about?

The 150 cfm motors use 3" hose, is that factory size on our Ms?

Looks like it's going to be a fun job.... Any tips?

Thanks to all!!!

Peter has the blower literature I left on my boat.

Ask him nicely--he's a Marine!

Dang Jeff. It's not like I'm an axe murderer. I haven't killed anyone since 1968.

The literature is on the boat. I will be there Saturday and I will report the findings to you Saturday evening. I'd be there Friday but, I fear, work intrudes.

..."Vent connection 3" or 4" ?"

On mine, the new blowers came with BOTH size connections (via an adapter as I recall). So, it depends on the hose size used. The air flow won't be significantly different.

Mine was 3 inch.

Rule in line bilge blowers in Fastjeffs' boat (according to on board literature) draw 4.3 amps and require a 7 amp in line fuse. Therefore, were you to light off two blowers at the same time and, allowing for surge, a 15 amp breaker would supply a verdant field of energy. Does this answer the question or is more data needed ?

Thanks soooo much guys. Finally got back to the boat. I have 3" hoses installed on my 29. Figured out the extra hose hooked to vent is forced air vent. I ordered the two 150 cfm Jebsco 6.8 amp draw each. http://www.westmarine.com/buy/jabsco--1 ... 62_001_506
