Is there a special marine spark plug wire set and coil or can I just go to AutoZone ?
I tried looking for FastJeff's Aqua Power / Morse wire set but came up with nothing.
Thanks

I am in Louisville and shop at and have good luck with the NAPA distribution warehouse downtown on College Street. They have an actual Marine catalog with listings for Chrysler inboard marine stuff. I always opt for marine specific if possible and find that NAPA is not out of line on price. Good Luck!

Thanks OldSchool
I was looking at NAPA online but it was the one in New Albany. I will call both for availability.

My shade tree mechanic friend says to wait until dark, start the engine and mist water on the spark plug wires. It they are bad they will arc and put on a light show. Anybody tried this?

Buy a universal fit big block wire set. They are cut to fit. Be sure to use 9mm wires.

On FastJeffs advice, I was going to try using the stainless steel core ignition wires for a big block Chevy ( with Non HEI ) made by Sierra, but the engines still run good, so I haven't bothered yet. That will maybe next summer.

Those old wires (and the company?) are out of business. Sorry. Big Block Chevy wires will work, but try to get straight ends (not 90 degree) on BOTH ends. A good hot rod supplier should be able to fix you up.

These chain auto stores are turning into distribution centers for Chinese crap. My shade tree mechanic friend is upset because they are selling him spark plug cables which are already bad.
