I received a nice thank you from Amanda Noordyk, a friend of the Althouse family (and manager of the wooden nickel). I sent 100 on Gofundme as the site admin for this support site. John must have been well liked in Michigan as the chili cookoff went well as a fund raiser. Any well wishing as a location seems to be the Facebook page of the Wooden Nickel in Marquette.
