Our 41' Marquis has a single strainer for intake water to BOTH the AC units. It appears that, to accomodate the needed volume of strained intake water, a single "salad bowl" identical to the one used on each of the 454 Crusader engines was used. Somehow, during the winterization process, that AC strainer assembly was misplaced  and I need to find a replacement. Would anyone have an extra or know of a source for the whole assembly?

Those strainers were made by San Juan Engineering & Manufacturing Co. which unfortunately closed up shop several years ago.
You might try Buck Algonquin low profile strainers.

There are some plastic/pvc models out there. I'm not sure why the bronze strainers are so expensive.....Its not new technology.

While the strainers for the engines would be "mission critical", a strainer for the AC units would be 'highly important - a step down. If I can't locate the bronze type, the plastics would definitely be next choice!

Face it, it's on the boat somewhere. You just have to find it, keep looking.

Well, that may be true...

But in our household, it's not a matter of wondering where I put something, it's sometimes trying to remember who I told "here, hold my beer."...
... and in a household of 2 adults and 3 cats!
