Site's back - now questions

Looks like the site got knocked off line for some days. What happened? Can the site chief admin explain. How can it be prevented from happening again? Anything we sub admins can do to help?

Not sure what happen there. I think maybe the forum got an update that messed it up. It seems to have fixed it self.
