Just a thought.
If you had removed that old system and didn't replace it before survey is done.
Then it never existed.
Problem solved.
ps,
Too bad I don't follow my own spiel.
Just had a Value Survey done on my 37' for the insurance company renewal. $400.
Surveyor also found my Fireboy system was due for a new cert.
Then I looked at the license plate sticker and it expires in March this year. :o $300+
Oh and he stated on the survey that the bottom needs painting. :? $$$$$
B-O-A-T we all know what that means.

Bill,
Survey had been done by PO for his own reasons but most of the surveyors 'need to do' listed items hadn't been done when we bought the boat in Oct. of 2021. We did get insurance thru Safeco but it's at a premium. By getting the survey list attended to and having the same surveyor verify those list items done, we'll qualify for a substantial reduction in monthly premium written by PO's previous insurance company. Our own current insurance company, Geico, declined to consider covering SS2 because of its age (both boats are '88 models! 🤨). You'd (wrongly!) think that a history of timely payments & no claims would've been cause for welcoming a current's customer's desire to add to their insurance coverage. Oh well, their loss in both current policy when 32' sells and no policy purchased for 41'. As a disclosure ... current 32' monthly policy cost (Geico) = 59.00/month | 41' CURRENT policy (Safeco) 95.50/month - Future policy (agent in No. Ky.) 70.00/month.
