Interior cabin space

Post by Seanik »

I am looking to buy a 32' express (no bridge) or a 32' fisherman vintage 1980's. Is the cabin space the same in both models. I like the U-shaped dinette and the couch on the starboard side. Both models in the mid to late 1980's are difficult to find but the search continues.

A bit difficult to see but I think you can make out the setup for each of the 32 models. Same for Express and Fisherman.

Well, you may be in luck. To answer your question, yes I believe the cabin layouts are identical, if they are both 32's. There is currently a 32' for sale at my marina, a Sport Fisherman I believe is the model. Twin 360's, mid 80's in extremely good condition. Fella told me his health is getting to the point he can't enjoy it anymore. We are on the other side of the lake, east of Cedar Point. If you want, leave me a private message and I will get his contact info.

This one is at Anchors Away Marina in Port Clinton. Probably one of the last to come off the line.

Neat boats!

Ever see a 32 foot with the Plan B floor plan? A free standing shower is on the port side, with a full sized refrigerator on the starboard side. An angled queen sized rectangular bed is also included.

Jeff

PS: I have photos if anyone is interested. Looked at one before i bought mine.

Jeff, i own a B floor plan
For a 32 foot boat it has full size amenities unlike most boats.
Its not as open and it doesnt sleep 6 but its ver comfortable for less people.
Im working to get her back in the water in the next couple months...
Had to sit out for a while due to family obligations.

Im thinking of repower and wondering if i should change to 350 Chevrolet instead of the 360s mostly for parts availability and reliability.

Hey Jeb I own one of 8 B models made from what i understand, Great boat! It turned into a Sedan only when the shipper knocked fly bridge off. She was in Mint before that with only 240 hours on her.

If one of those B models comes to market it may have to be my next project. I've seen some pictures and it looks like it would make a nice cruising boat for the Admiral and me. Or maybe I modify a regular 32--a big job to be sure, but those usually start with me thinking "how hard can it be?"

Jeb--many mechanics would tell you to switch to a 350 for the reasons you cite. However, keeping your 360s--even if they need work--may be easier on your wallet.

I would be interested in seeing where the queen bed is. I am trying to figure out how to convert the front v berth into the best layout if any different than the factory layout.

Good looking boat too. Someone checked nearly all the options on it.
