I need to replace vent hose and was thinking regular dryer vent hose would work. (fresh water use)
Anyone think I should spend extra money for " Boat" vent hose?
Thanks, Wayne

Don't think any safety issue presents itself here - go ahead

Blower vent related question (sorry to hijack the post)...But, while replacing my aft deck I noticed the vent-collector box (attached to dual hoses) is not connected to the intake vent. Not sure if it’s deteriorated but there appears to be no mechanism (tab, clips, lip) to attach it to the interior of the vent. Any part number or source for the box? Measured 16.5” x 2.5” vent opening.

I once used dryer vent hose on a searay 260 sundancer I had. I got the hose from Lowe's, and it lasted almost as long as it took to install it.! Really it didn't last a full boating season.! However, that being said, the searay exposed the ends of the hose to sun and weather, but the "M's"run the hose under the aft deck and out of sight, so it may last longer..

Just a thought... (yeah,I know, something I shouldn't do..

)
An aluminum dryer vent hose (both in 3" and 4" sizes) is available. Being flexible by nature, would these not work as well as the plastic ones, AND last much longer? Pliable enough to be closed up around the blower's ends using good quality plastic wire ties.
