I don't have any personal experience with them but Jasper engines has a very good reputation. Probably not the least expensive option though.

I think you can only get the Jasper motors through one of their authorized installers. They do have a good reputation ,thanks for the info. Harry B

Promar in New Jersey has long block 318 & 360 available including heads with a 3 year warranty. Www.promarengines.com. regular and counter-rotation available. Good luck!

I got my rebuilt from these guys and it was a great engine. Service was good as well, but they are in New Jersey. (Not sure where you are at--shipping costs!) They motor them in on a dyno before you get it, so you just fire 'em up and go.

I am experiencing the same thing with 915 hours on the hour meter. Then my starboard engine started making a strange knocking noise. I knew this day was coming not I did not think it would be this soon. Compression test this weekend will give us our status. It it is time to rebuild our engines, I will writing the check cause do not have a trailer nor the place to do the work. If only one needs rebuilding, both will be rebuilt. Towing costs are probably more than what a rebuilt long block costs. More updates as this unfolds.
