Replacing my aft deck and would definitely have gone original had it been available.

The M that I’m buying comes with some leftover original print Nautalex that was produced as a special order. Supposed to be quite a bit of it. I will let you know what I find out.

I am having the floor replaced within few weeks so I don't want to wait for Nautolex to ramp up production. I will have use something else.

I don't know what happened to Verboatn, he hasn't been active on this site since he posted the original thread on the Nautolex. It could have been a hoax from the beginning. I hope not!

i bought a roll of that stuff to redo my boat 4 years go. I had the New 5/8" sprayed with bed liner instead. I'll take the stuff out of the original shipping roll and measure it. there is nothing on the outside of the package to tell me how much is there. Then I could offer it for sale somewhere on this site. I prefer bed liner.

What color bedliner did you use? Was it roll on or spray?

Metalhead,
I cut the old cockpit pieces out from the top put them together and made a nice 1/4" luan pattern. You only need one side - flip and you have the other. I made new pieces out of 5/8' outside rated plywood to avoid fitting issues. You don't need marine grade - the deck is flat. I took the wood to a Rhinoliner dealer. The colors were limited so I picked light grey. For about a $100 they sprayed the wood with a nice non-skid overlapping the under side by about 6". They should have more colors now because they do a lot of business spraying car/truck bodies. Hacking the old pieces out from the top was no problem. Screwing the new pieces in from the bottom can be difficult unless you have freaky long arms. I replaced the rusted out main washer on the original shower type scuppers with a big shaped aluminum diamond plate that fit underneath the cockpit corner side walls. Tighten the big drain nut and it clamps the deck down hard in each back corner. Since the front is clamped under the door sill that just left the rest. I only replaced the bottom up screws that I could easily reach. Once I did that the deck was secure. I would have used top down screws if they were needed. I never replaced the hatch trim. I cut my arm when I fell against the open hatch edge and had to go to the hospital. An open hatch like that is like a big sword. Just use a rubber rug. The Rhinoliner held up as I pounded on it redoing the project boat. It looks like new.
