Good series of pix. They make a good case for power washing on haulout and not letting the stuff dry

John,
Thanks for posting. It looks like you may be missing the 12" anodes that get bolted to the trim tabs. On my M, those seem to be the ones that wear away fastest.

Yep. That was my plan but the water service at the ramp was closed and by the time I got it home I had to leave for work. I'll post some after power washing pics sometime. It didn't come out to bad, but it would have been easier when still wet.jralbert wrote:Good series of pix. They make a good case for power washing on haulout and not letting the stuff dry

Yes it is. It works great & looks better now that it is washed. I will paint it also.honestcharlie56 wrote:excuse the ignorant questions, but is that a stern thruster?

Re: Hull Preparation & Painting
The trim tabs have anodes on the top of the tab behind the lip - can't seen them in the picture. I don't have pics showing the anode. I'm removing them this weekend to clean up and re-install. They still look pretty solid.SunbeamIV wrote:John,

Here is the after power washing. The anode is probably 6-7" long. Do you think that it has life left in it?shade2u2 wrote:The trim tabs have anodes on the top of the tab behind the lip - can't seen them in the picture. I don't have pics showing the anode. Re: Hull Preparation & Painting
Here is the stern (thruster & rudder) after powerwashing. I'm going to removed the anode, clean and remount. I'm going to clean up the rudder and possibly paint with 2002E. The thruster had antifouling paint on it also but the powerwashing took most of it off.

Re: Hull Preparation & Painting
This is the bow keel after power washing. I may try some hull cleaner for the white paint above the bottom paint line.
