Kicker on a 28 ft express or fisherman
Anyone have any information on size speed and fuel usage for a kicker motor?

If you are on Facebook search up Bryan Oetting on the Marinette group. He successfully installed a Mercury 9.9hp on the swim platform of his 28'. He uses it for trolling for fish. I'm not sure if he is on this forum or not.
There are pictures and videos of it in action on the Marinette Facebook group. I believe his speeds are 2-3 mph and would imagine it uses very little fuel.

I've seen a 25 hp motor mounted to the swim platform up on Lake Superior. It was a simple wedge shaped mount welded out of thick (1/2" inch) aluminum plate bolted to the swim platform. The motor had complete hydraulic controls hooked to a hand held module. I took a lot of pictures but I can not locate them. On Lake Superior you need enough engine to motor you out of trouble.
