Finally Back on Tin!

Just took possession of our 2nd 32' flybridge, sedan and 3rd Marinette over all.

This one has the very rare almond (??) colored paint and is in as good of shape as any I've seen and I feel very lucky and privilege to own such a beauty.
Only needs some minor interior updating. As in curtains instead of blinds etc.

We plan to go through some gas w/this one (same as the last 2 and part of what a Marinette does better than any other) and are in process of setting it up for weekending/cruising.
Bought a 10' 6" inflatable dinghy and mounted it to the detachable, flip davits and have a motor stored on the platform.
Two mountain bikes for us on the bow, and two fold up bikes in the bilge for our guests.

We use a dinghy a lot and winter project is a set of old school, traditional davits to hand the dinghy/motor, complete, off the transom.
Any pix's of a 32' w/them??

This is my first inflatable w/a motor and so far, not too impressed.
I built my last one and am thinking similar for this winter.

Anyhow, excited to be here and to learn from y'all!

Building and running your own dink is especially rewarding! I hung two homemade from the stern of my 32 footer for over a decade.

Put another 40 or so miles on her this weekend on Lake Erie and had a blast.
Night 1 on the hook off the s.end of Pelee Island, night 2 at dock at noth end of same island and night 3 back at dock.
Uneventful other than lake going from calm/flat, to wind and 3' to 4's at midnight!

Fun moving the boat in the dark, around a mostly submerged beach in the middle of nowhere

Pick up an 8 hp motor for the inflatable and the little booger ran great. Would actually plane w/me (200 lbs) and my bro-in law (230ish).
Put 10 or so miles on it and convinced me I don't like it at all.

So davits and dinghy this winter.

You mean inflating it then mounting the motor without dropping in into the drink? Yeah; that gets old fast!

Jeff, yep.

The Marinette came w/the hardware already mounted to the platform that attaches to the dink that allows you to pull it up and out of the water against the transom.
But yeah, on/off w/the motor, in a rolling seas, and the gas tank etc.
