Long shot

Post by Disturbedwrench »

I know this is a long shot but I’m looking for the previous owner of a 28’ express that was in the Port Clinton or Sandusky area until 2007/08. The current owner never got the title. He never did anything with the boat and now wants to sell it. I am hoping someone might remember this boat and/or the previous owners name. Might make getting a new title easier and I could make a more educated offer on it. The boat was named Bar-be-Lee and then changed to Time Out.
Thanks for any help anyone can offer.

Interesting...Docking in that area for the last five years, I always keep up with, and remember the names of Big M's I see around the area. Is the boat in Mi. now? Where did you find it (Boat Trader, want ads, etc...) ? You could always try the facebook page or ask some of the guys on the Great Lakes Marinette Club site. Try posting a photo on here, maybe someone will remember it.

I found it setting in a driveway and just stopped to ask. Yes it’s in southwest mi now. I tried to add a photo but it tells me they’re to large. I’ll see if one of my kids can help, when they wake up.

I would start by looking up the registration number. Does that state issue titles to a boat? Find out who they have listed as the owner. Otherwise, it is easy in some states to get a title for a re-constructed car/boat or for storage fees.

the Ohio registration numbers on the side shoud be able to take you somewhere. Have a local game warden run them thru the computer to see if the registration is up to date, which I'll bet its not but the name should come up when they check it.

An hour of power washing and she'll look great!

Good luck.

I took a chance and bought it. Spent 11 months rebuilding. Got ahold of the sheriffs department and they did a vin check for me and a few trips to the Secretary of State and the title is in my name.
