Cut Capac Cable

Post by mytoy28 »

Does anyone know how to repair a cut Capac cable, the cut is about 12 inch from the Capac sensor in the bilge.
Any help is much appreciated.

There should be a yellow tube that contains the factory splice. Its just a butt connector. The tube keeps the water away from the butt connector. If you need to add another butt outside of the tube get some shrink tube butts from West or use a regular butt and add some adhesive heat shrink before you crimp.
The capac should use regular wire. Its just a glorified voltage meter.
