Boat is listing.

Post by wschneid »

I recentely purchased an 86 32' fly bridge sedan. I have it in a covered slip and I noticed that the boat lists about 3-5 degrees to port.My water tank is near full. Could that be the problem? I checked the bilges and there is not enough in them to cause that list. Anyone have any ideas?

Yes. Full water tank makes the 32 list. Did the same for the 28' Fisherman & Express.

My 32 footer did that as well. Frustrating.

ditto on the list. It was pretty visible. Those 30 gals of water weigh 240 lbs. A heavyweight. But it didn't hurt anything.

I recall wanting to place a bunch of concrete slabs to the right of the batteries to correct that list (but never got around to it).

My 32 footer usually aimed itself in another direction when on the hook overnight. (How about yours?) You'd see all these plastic boats aimed one way and mine another! It was weird.
