Fishing

Post by Busia »

I keep checking and there's nothing new on the site. So here is something new.
Well, here is my fishing report: not very good for salmon this year, got a couple nice halibut and some red snapper and Dungeness crab. Did real good for shrimp this year. Will try to put some pics here...

Not knowing anything about the value of shrimp, asking whether 5 gals pays for gas for the boat....doing this commercially? or for home consumption?

The shrimp are just a back up if we don't catch any fish so we don't feel like we go home empty handed. Plus my wife really likes shrimp. We are just sport/ subsistence fishing for them so it is illegal to sell them. Right now a commercial fisherman is selling the tails for $12 a pound. Here is a pic of some nice big ones.
Even when we do really good fishing I doubt it pays for the gas. I just figure it's an expensive hobby and the fish are a bonus.
