Folks,
Last fall we installed a 7.0 Kw BCG Westerbeke marine genny on the boat. There was (and isn't available any more) an optional remote instrument panel for that model. I'm in the process of building a remote instrument panel. The guages and start/on/stop switches don't appear to present a problem.
My question/concern are the 2 remote senders that need to be installed on the genny itself: oil pressure and water temp senders. These are in addition to the devices that drive the instrument panel on the genny itself.
--> Has anyone installed a Westerbeke remote instrument panel? If so, did you use Westerbeke senders or can "off the shelf" devices be used (and give accurate readings)?
