So it continues.
Went to the Detroit fireworks last night.
Can't believe it started to rain when fireworks started and stopped when fireworks show was over. :o
Boat ran flawlessly all the way up and a little more than half way home. We were downbound in the Livingstone Channel and Mr. Port decided it was time for a break. Would not go above 1500 rpm. :? Got to Frenchman's Creek and decided to go in on the starboard engine and save the port for docking.
I think we broke out the champagne a little to early.
Anyway back to reading early posts in this very long post.

My standard advice when one encounters symptoms you reported: Check the filter (usually cg-11) at the point where the fuel line enters the carb. It historically causes what you ran into

I removed the cg-11 filter for that very reason.

safe boating,

Running Carter AFB's no filter in carb :!:
Water/fuel filter separators are 20 micron.
The metal canister fuel at the carb is 10 micron.
Fuel is fresh and 89 octane Agri fuel. (no ethanal)

 Noooooooo!!!!.... Ok now thats out of the way hows the vacuum on the intakes? and is there a chance that the bi-metal choke has something wrong with it like it might be closing or opening when it should be the other way around. I rember reading somewhere in this encyclopedia of a post that there was some issue with them like they were hitting something and not actuating fully i could be wrong though I get about three pages in and i get dizzy sometimes

And also we noticed this on my dads boat during the carb rebuild there is a screen inside the fitting going into the float bowl if the fitting is over tightened the screen gets crushed and could hinder fuel flow on his boat one was normal the other was crushed I dunno bill worth a look maybe? wish there was a magic bullet for this thing for what its worth im pullin for ya

I'd remove those screens. They only filter out large particles that your regular filters will catch.
