Hello, First, just to confirm. You have a 1989 .318s? That should be 240 hp with center dumps exhaust manifolds? If so. You need to leave them alone. First the 240 Hp had taller pistons than any car. The 240 were some of the best 318s ever made for marine. If you raise the compression any more you will be pushing past the safety margin. Are you going to use better fuel 93 Plus. ? Building an engine for the street does not compare to a boat. I have seen it many times. Dont do it. Unless you have plenty of time and money to keep working on them. Joe.
