Sending Unit Failure LM 318

Postby Gregorystarks » Thu Jul 24, 2014 8:00 am

Lost oil pressure in our starboard LM 318 (1987) while cruising Lake Norris last weekend. Fortunately I caught before there was damage. The sending unit for the electric oil pressure gauge broke a plastic tube so she was peeing oil out into the bilge. I had the engine alarm turned off at the console, what a dummy. That habit will change forever! :)

I'll bet it will!
