Good Galvanic Corrosion Article

Post by jralbert »

Here's a piece that has been in a random pile of paper on my desk. It's an old Popular Science piece using the Quicksilver current isolation box as its main source. It's well written in plain English and all of the info is valid today. Having scanned and shared it, the paper is going into the recycling bin.

(this could just as easily have gone into the Electrical part of the forum but I think Boat and Hull will be useful since we are talking about hull corrosion)

(stray current, galvanic corrosion, quicksilver, cathode, anode, galvanic scale, cathodic protection, galvanic series, isolator)

Joel,
Thanks for posting! Did M's come with these units? Mine has one under the cabin steps, and I never fully understood it's purpose.
