Spacing between prop and rudder

So moving to a larger prop and shaft and it seems the prop is aweful close to the rudder, maybe an inch? Is there a minimum distance that is preferred. Could not have been too much more than that with the old set up.

My 32 has just enough room to sneak the prop off, if you tip it just right. That is original as far as I know. The 32 that I just re powered with 1.250 shafts was about the same. It had a little more room but only because the shafts were set up for castle nuts where mine are jam nuts. The castle nut shafts are about .500" - .750" shorter from rear of prop hub to end of shaft.

In theory, the space between the back of the prop and the cutless bearing should not be more the twice the diameter of the shaft.
