28 prop recommendation

It looks like I probably need to have my prop redone or replaced.
My boat is a 1984 28 with single engine 360. My current 3 blade prop looks to be a 16x14 that was originally 17x15. It runs about 27-28 mph at WOT (4200 rpm) with this prop.
Should I stay with the 16x14 prop?
What about a 4 blade for these boats?
Thanx in advance for any opinions.

My advise? Stick to what's working. Also, from my experience, a 4 blade prop creates a noticeably faster idle speed. (That made for some thrilling docking until I learned to shift in and out of neutral, regularly.)

If that's not a concern, you MIGHT get better plane off with the 4 bladed, but be careful selecting it. From my experience, a 17 x 15 four blader was 400 rpms lower at WOT than my old 16 x 16 three bladers. I know: a mixture of apple and oranges, but that extra blade pushes a bunch more water.

I am planning to stick with the 16x14 that is on the boat. My spare prop is installed.
I hoped have the damaged prop repair to become my spare but I don't think that it is repairable.
This is a picture of it. Does anyone have experience with a blade on a prop being almost completely rebuilt?
Probably going to be looking for a used prop...

Well I'm ready to order a new prop.
I have a single 260 HP 360 Chrysler in my 28. The old 360 has 2200 hours on it. Should this vessel achieve more than 28 mph?
Does anyone have the actual spec or manual indicating the WOT for this 1984 360 (260 HP)?
I have a manual for the 275 HP 360 that shows 4200-4800 with 275 HP at 4600 rpm and manual for a 250 HP 360 that shows 250 HP at 4000 rpm & no WOT indicated.
Again mine is a 260 HP. My actual model is M360BWR15-015.
i'm probably being to anal about this but I just want to be sure. I'm wanting to be sure that I'm giving the correct info to Michigan Wheel. So for MW is recommending a 16x13 Nibral with medium cup.

For your piece of mind (and in line with what you're asking), a 2nd opinion will be invaluable. I bought a couple of props this spring from Delta Propeller ( http://www.deltaprop.com/ ). A family situation kept us from putting Sunset Seeker in the water this year so I can't comment on performance. However, I will say that the guy at DP recommended a 4 blade prop (which is what I purchased) over the original 3 blade. You might give them a call to see what the offer/suggest.
