Were going to hopefully take her to the fuel dock today and get some fresh gas in her. Maybe start getting brave and taking longer rides.

Drained my tank Friday, pulled the "fuel" through the fuel lines in order to get to the lowest part of the tank. First three or four gallon's were definitely contaminated, guess that big aluminum tank does a lot of sweating. Have considered installing a header tank in hopes catching the water before it reaches the carbs. Although I run duel water separator filters they would not have had that capacity. Boat's been sitting since last Fall.

I don't plan on changing anything just yet. I have however been draining the water separators quite often.

Take the interior wood and paneling out fast and dry it out . You will probably need to pull and replace a lot of wet fiberglass insulation, I had to recondition my flybridge electrics. It all comes out in one lump. I mounted it in a plywood cutout so I could work on it on the bench. Good thing about a Marinette is it is screwed together. Bad thing there is a lot of screws.

TO ME, IT SOUNDS LIKE A WORKABLE PROJECT... BUT, I JUST BOUGHT MY 32 EXPRESS, TWIN 225'S, ON 7-3-2017, FOR 6K.. SO I HAVE TO WONDER IF THE RESTORE IS WORTH THE EFFORT..{ AND COST }. HAVING SAID THAT, I THINK THE BIG M'S ARE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL BOATS ON THE WATER, SO I WOULD TRY TO SAVE HER.. AS FAR AS ELECTRICAL GOES, IT CAN'T BE THAT BAD.. I JUST SPENT THREE NIGHTS IN THE DARK, WHILE TRYING TO TRACK DOWN A LOOSE WIRE ( THAT DIDN'T EXIST ), ONLY TO FIND MY HOUSE BATTERIES WERE COMPLETELY DEAD..! AFTER A 24 HRS CHARGE, I FELT REALLY DUMB.. BUT IT'S A LEARNING CURVE FOR ME, MY OLD BOAT HAD ON BOARD CHARGERS, SO I NEVER HAD A BATTERY ISSUE..! NOW..I KNOW..!! GOOD LUCK, AND PLEASE POST SOME PICTURES...
