PS, i have one of the very rare B floor plans, I cant find another 32' boat that has a floor plan that comes close in my price range so im thinking of getting her down to florida to live on a nice lift. That will make keeping the bottom in great shape years round a pretty easy task comparitvely.

Don't worry about the shaft size as much as the coupler size. If you pull your shafts you will likely have to buy new couplers anyway (they are a light press fit and after years of use and rust almost never come off without distortion or destruction). The big question is do both boats have 1:1 or reduction trans. The reduction trans is about 10" longer and will not fit in some boats (my 1972 is a prime example). You can swap the trans if need be just make sure you prop it accordingly.

My trans is 1to1 and i can just have them gone through even though they are ok. Im not going through all the trouble of putting in fresh motors without going fresh trans, fuel lines and trans cooler lines

I think i might spring for shaft savers too, good for isolation as well
