Boat lift in slip?

Post by info4all »

Hello everyone,

I'm still a bit green to the boating scene so I am coming to the pros for what may be an insane question.

Last year I noticed a boat slip a few slips down from me had some extra gear setup on it. When I asked my neighbors about it they explained that it was a boat lift. I had never heard of such a thing but it stuck with me as a problem solver for some maintenance issues. Does anyone here have a boat lift in their slip or for that matter is it even an option for a 32' sedan? The slip I am in right now offers me the opportunity to keep my boat in the water year round in a covered slip about 25' tall. I would really like to have an opportunity to do bottom maintenance in the off season or any time of the year really.

Thoughts/Advice?

Thanks,

David

Have my fishing boat on a Boat Floater, works great. There are several manufactures of lifts and yes you can get one that would lift your 32, hate to think what it would cost, probably a lot more than you paid for the boat.
