Bob,
Are you saying that the "owner" doesn't have the title or transferrable registration card and you are considering buying it? You can possibly track the boat down with the government of Illinois since the registration numbers are there nice and fresh.

I hate to say this but unless u enjoy the project, the prices have come down so far that u may find better luck buying one that needs a bit less work. The motor, drive and genny will be likely junk.

That looks a whole lot like my 1966 single screw 26' flybridge.Mine has a 351w .I would love to have that top frame on the flybridge.Rare to see a 26 and even more rare with a FB.
