About 5 quarts (plus one for the filter). I recommend Shell Rotella, or another good oil of your choice. Be sure to add a half can of Lucas ZDDP additive for protection of the flat tappet cam. (A good auto store has it, or Amazon.)

Modern roller cam engines don't need ZDDP, so modern oils have little of it (for supposed "air pollution" reasons.

Not sure if they are different, but there are two different oil pans for the Mopars, one is stamped steel, like on a Dodge truck, the other, as on my M, are cast aluminum. Depending on the transmission/outdrive is what determined the oil pan.

Amazon lists the ZDDP additive. About 16 bucks.

Does rotella no longer have zinc additives?
