Fantastic work. Thank you for taking the time to post this, as well as the tools and materials used.
Our bow rail is in desperate need of this. What are you using for aluminum filler?

I like that spacer. Did you use and sealant or silicone?
I wonder how thin of plastic one could use for the spacer under the rail stanchion base? I have access to many thicknesses of plastic but not all is UV inhibited. Most of the material that is good for outdoor use is a little under 1/16" thick. Well maybe I could double it...???
