Just got an email about Pettit's new product: Hydrocoat.
There is a copper free version.

Supposed to be on par with other ablative bottom paints AND more environmentally friendly. Pricey @ 260.00/gal (quarts available. )

consider this for making paint decisions: get a small quantity of some brands you'd think about using. Paint a board of piece of aluminum with the various products keyed so you'll remember which is which and drop them overboard for a month or so you'll be able to compare results. I did this too many yrs ago to recall who came out on top but there was a clear (not even a close call) difference between the two samples I was comparing. I know I shared the results here but it was long long ago and I don't know if they are still up on the site.
