Good source for distributor caps and rotors

Post by Maestro »

I feel like I've heard a few complaints that Sierra caps/rotors are not of the greatest quality.

I just found a new marine cap/rotor set through my local Federated Auto Parts supplier. If you don't have one of these stores near you, look up Standard Auto Parts online.

They can look up what you need based on the numbers from your distributor.

The cap/rotor I just purchased both seem to be of good quality with all brass terminals. Installed in the boat and she fired right up. I will update this post after a few weeks.

My distributor: Chrysler 3675632 IDH 7003A 119. (Made by prestolite but does not say this anywhere on it)

Part numbers from Federated:

Cap - Standard Auto Parts AL483 (clip down style)
Rotor - Standard Auto Parts AL153

Careful selecting the cap and rotor combination! There are two different styles and they do NOT interchange.
