There's a pair on Ebay for $7000, I contacted the guy and was informed that although the pictures show carbs and distributors they are not part of the package, add a $1000 per engine for them and your up to $9000 plus the expense of getting them. Close enough to $10000 to call it $10000. Not saying there not good engines but for that price I'd have someone I knew build them so you know what your getting.

It would be a lot smarter to go with something like a reman Jasper-with a warranty. I know it was 20 years ago, but mine were about $2K ea and even if they have doubled in price since then, they are still a better choice than an eBay seller. If his price was a lot lower, you might roll the dice. Even then, I wouldn't

I'm pulling the 318 out my Marinette right now. I'm salvaging the boat and the motor is next to come out. It has 1,316 hours on it and always ran good. I put new exhaust manifolds on it a few years back but never used the boat after I installed them. Just lived to far away and couldn't keep up with the boat. If interested you can PM me or email me. Ya I contacted the sellar of the EBAY motors too. I just cant justify paying that much for old engines.

Jasper is an option.

If it's nearby. Shipping cost across the country would be murder!

Not a bad deal if they are good performers. How would you assess the condition?

Raw water cooled engines only used in fresh water. He claims they run good.
