I am looking for two Marinette nameplates. I took them off in pieces last summer to paint and ended up breaking the M's off at the screw hole. I have some ideas to fix them, but I would prefer to just get new/used ones. She would look so much prettier with her nameplates on.

Me to :!:
I have often wondered why somebody couldn't come up with a aluminum cast MARINETTE name plate :?:
Sure would hold up better than plastic.

If I could get one to make a pattern, I may be able to get some cast.

Anyone have a 3d printer. That would be nice application to make nameplates.

I believe we may have to get permission from John Althouse at Marinette Yachts. As he owns all the rights to Marinette, but i am not a lawyer. :D
as you all know John has suffered a bad stroke  and is on the long road to recovery.

This is kind of interesting. I did a quick Google search "how long does a trademark last" and the summary answer is ten years at which time the owner can refile for another ten years indefinitely (every ten years). Then I did a quick search at the US trademark office web site and see that the word Marinette is used by others- non boats- but not by the boat company. This isn't definitive, of course, but it appears the tutu mark may be in the wild. The quick search didn't show whether it was every trademarked by the original boat builders. You can dig into it yourselves.

I used a 3-D printer for several replacement parts.
You can also backup plastic with double sided sheet adhesive, then just stick onto clean surface.
