Does anyone need steering cables with helm gear boxes for lower and flybridge for a 32 marinette. I converted mine to hydraulic steering.

Good move, how’d you bleed the system? Mine was a real pain, took several times.

Yes it was a pain took a long time to work all the air out. Then let set for about 4 hours and turned both helm wheels stop to stop another 50 time to get all the air out. I wished I did this year’s ago. How it handles now is like a new boat. I used the Sea Star system, love it.

What kind of fluid did you use, I used aircraft hydraulic fluid, it fell well within specs, friend of mine uses power steering fluid. Of the opinion most of my trapped air came from the compensating line. SeaStar has an electric pump system to aid in bleeding, think its only available to dealers though.

On second thought wondering if you could not use a drill pump after the actuating cylinder, connected to the bleed valves, to really move the fluid through all the lines. I am of the opinion most of the problem with bleeding is the slow movement of the fluid, if it moved faster it would push the air right along, not giving it a chance to get trapped.

Does anybody know the length of the upper station steering cable for a 37 ft aft cabin?

I used Sea Star fluid, I did not want to void any warranty.
