Re: My 32 Footer is For Sale

Jeff: be on your toes for the (jn)famous Craig's List scam: the one where the guy says he'd like to buy your boat for a relative/friend, sight unseen. Doesn't even want to negotiate. Then promises to wire you more than you're asking because it's the only amount he can send and you'll promise to refu...

Re: Ignition System Components & Locations

There is, or at least was, a highly qualified, reasonably priced alternator/generator repair guy in FastJeff's neighborhood. I used him once but forget the contact info (actually it was on the old site, but that's now wiped out). Jeff may respond to this and post the info. (and I still have the repa...

Harry - you'd do better to start your own "thread" with this query. Doing that keeps the forum more organized. You posted in the right department but hitchhiking on another post veers us off topic and make user interaction more difficult. Thanks for doing that. (meanwhile, I got Jasper rem...

See the vendors list. Blaine carries a wide range of door parts. They may not be in your area but if you need something specialized or common they are the go-to source

Re: Questions About Bad Fuel

A little bit of water in the fuel isn't harmful but a lot of water is -- of course. The really bad actor, especially in ethanol gasoline is the whitish yellow looking sludge that settles out and then finds its way into the fuel lines. I suspect that siphoning it out from the bottom of the tank will ...

No... if it was actually a Capac and got sandblasted, it was ruined beyond further use. And is not to be connected to the isolator (don't know where you came up with that idea).

Re: Hull Sensor?

I'd like to tell you it's a Capac sensor for monitoring galvanic corrosion but your description doesn't match. Capac units (on the exterior/ hull side) have a plastic housing approx. 10" dia and stamped "Do Not Paint" with the sensor about 3" in dia in the center. The sensor is a...

Re: window seal question

The rolls are thin strip of a nylon or plastic material on which the windows glide. But they are not critical if you spray the channels with silicone to ease window movement. My original glide strips disintegrated in the sun and I went for years without them with no problems. Not allowing the window...

Re: Helm seats

Steve..pls define the problem a bit better so we can help you. Right now, we have to guess what you mean. For example, is it loose at the base or where the base meets the seat bottom? Is it a bench or a swivel seat? If it will help, include a photo.

Re: Oxidation

I assume you are talking about the Capac meter. Point 8 is below the recommended .9 but not frighteningly so. Often, a bottom cleaning will raise that number. Sometimes, it's down because of dirty or loose contacts on the meter. I've experienced both (and was relieved at the results when the origina...
