Re: Where can you find owner history? Just purchased 32 sedan fly bridge

Whoops, forgot that your state boat licensing agency (or the state where the boat has been registered) can be be helpful. But what they will need is registration number info. Another thing you can do is some detective legwork. Contact the party from whom you bought it...ask them if they can help wit...

Re: Where can you find owner history? Just purchased 32 sedan fly bridge

I'm only familiar with the US Coast Guard documentation center in W VA that tracks documentation and ownership. Can't think of anything that's like a CarFax to detail mishaps and repair records. The boat business, sorry to say, is the wild west That aside (you may not be asking about YOUR boat's his...

Re: Chrysler 318/360 oil pressure switches

That switch is the worst (well, one of the worst but I can't think of other candidates at the moment) features of the 318. I also lost oil but thru absolute dumb luck happened to be down in the engine compartment when it happened and immed shut down. It so cheap both in cost and manufacture. They co...

Re: Bent Rudder shafts?

Great replacement job. Assume your rudder shafts are isolated, as engine shafts are isolated. If not, keep an eye out for pitting (which may never happen). And, as you probably have engine shafts isolated they should not need zincs. I did as you do - zincs on the shafts - but they never needed repla...

Re: Bent Rudder shafts?

I found a few pix of my former boat's bottom and, while the angle I observed isn't really great, it doesn't seem to show a bend in the shaft. How both of yours would be bent is rather mysterious especially since you don't recall hitting anything. I do recall that the blades were pointed a bit off ce...
