Re: 34' Marquis Sedan
Speaking to the demise of Marinette.... The economy was in the toilet, luxury tax was in effect, home mortgage interest was double digits, most importantly though, the city of Louisville was actively courting UPS, which meant that they needed more land. There were a couple of other companies that g...

Re: 34' Marquis Sedan
I may be mistaken but I think the 34's and the 41 "Convertible" models were made by Harbor Master?? I think they attempted to build the Marinette line but ultimately gave it up.

Agreed with Yoop, do NOT cut cable. Get new and do it right, imo.

Re: Shore Cord Check
Also don't leave the power cord plugged into the boat with the inverter on! The male end prongs will be "HOT" Roger I've never installed an inverter but I'm fairly sure you want to open the path to the main so you never feed voltage back into the dock and never have hot male plug. Same id...

Re: spark plugs
I'm running RN9YC plugs. Pretty sure the manual calls for RN9YC, at least for the mid eighties 360 Chrysler's. According to Champion the 9,12&14 are the same spec except for the heat range. Looks like the 14 is at the top of the hot range, then 12 and 9 in the middle range. "heat" refe...

I have a plug from a transducer install on a 1989 28' Fisherman. It appears to 5/32" - 3/16". I don't have proper mic to check.

Re: Battery group/size? 1978 28 express
Here is a link to Interstate's Marine selection. http://www.interstatebatteries.com/m/category/marine I'm going to order a set of the Pro-SRM29 ECL batteries from my local dealer. Interstate claims the ECL line approaches AGM performance at a fraction of the price. http://www.interstatebatteries.com...

Re: Battery group/size? 1978 28 express
For some reason group 27 sticks in my mind.
I guess the size will might on what the previous owner has for battery boxes unless that is not an issue.
Been running group 29s on the 32'. The extra juice is always welcome.
