Re: Raw Water Intake
There is also (as I said above) the possibility of sucking air into the motor cooling stream, and you'd be surprised how little air can causer big problems. Jeff Good point Jeff! Also consider hose volume issues although its not like the toilet is flushing constantly while the engine or generator o...

Re: Raw Water Intake
I see now. He wants to T off an existing hose? Would never consider doing that under the waterline. Too many elbows & hose clamps to fail. Make a new hole and do it correctly, imo.

Re: Raw Water Intake
Just noticed his name is Mytoy28. Assuming he has a 28.....We had a 1989, 28 with the traveler head (single tank under bowl). Toilet water was supplied by the freshwater tank & pump which was a waste of water given the tiny tank. 2 pump out ports on topside (1 suction pump out and 1 macerator). ...

Re: Raw Water Intake
You can put an intake anywhere you have access to make a hole. The intake for my head is under entry to the fwd cabin on the 32'. If you are looking in the engine room for intake location I'm assuming you have a 28 with the head on the aft right side of the cabin? Just be sure to seal everything wit...

Re: Help with info; data to choose a boat
28' is 11' wide & has single 100gal fuel tank 32' is 12' wide & has twin 75gal fuel tanks Fuel use on twin is very economical compared to fiberglass boats of same size with twin engines. Twin engine is much easier to maneuver and also makes troubleshooting easier. The only single engine I wo...

Re: Fuel economy
I haven't done it on the 32 yet but on the 28 we took the flame arresters off while running and looking at the carbs you can tell when the secondary valves open. Make note of the RPM and stay below it, you will save fuel.

Re: 1987 32 Sedan Bridge for sale...
Boat looks nice with that red and off white. Assuming the hull is not full of corrosion blisters and the interior has been maintained, engines run etc then 18k is very fair. Might want to start a bit higher and work down?? Always expect a potential owner to offer less.

Been using a Fortress for several years with very good results. I have a few feet of heavy chain to help hold it down. No issues in the mud/sand.

Re: RUb Rails
Stainless screws & bolts are correct. The key is to keep moisture away from the area where those 2 metals touch. If I were to go through another repaint job I would caulk every single screw hole with 4200 and make sure any areas that get wet can drain IE. under the bow rail mounts. The weep hole...
