Re: winterizing question
Thanks barkleydave for the step by step, I haven't owned a boat with an inboard before and it's been 10 years since I've fooled with an I/0 even so your instructions will be printed for my winterizing. Do you guys also pump antifreeze through the fresh water system or just blow it out and open up th...

Mid 60's chrylser fury 210 318 and velvet drive. complete or parts
I have a mid 1960s 318 21 fury complete from carb to oil pan, includes exhaust, fuel pump, transmission, alternator, raw water and circulating pumps, and velvet drive transmission. I bought this thinking of putting it in my marinette but am considering another direction. I was told this engine has n...

Re: Topside/Exterior Paint
Thanks for the feedback on the Rustoleum. I figured for the price and my past experience it would be worth a shot. You guys confirmed that for me. Thanks again!

Re: Topside/Exterior Paint
Anyone have any experience with rustoleum marine paint? We used to use regular rustoleum on the houseboat my family had when I was growing up and it seemed to look pretty good and lay on nice.

Re: Repower question:: Maestro?
One other note is that my boat also has a 14x12 prop on it....That explains why I can't get over about 32-3300 rpm.

Re: Repower question:: Maestro?
I am still considering what to do and don't need to repower, just need new exhaust manifolds. I think if I do change from the 318 I will probably just go with a 350 as it sounds like performance with the 440 is fairly similar to mine. Since I have 2 running 318 motors and transmissions I figure I co...

Re: more steam questions
Ever notice on a fall or spring day when the air is cooler than the water and we have fog around our lakes, rivers and swamps? Your boat does the same thing when it dumps warm water and exhaust out into cool air and cool water....The colder the temps the more steam. Example, labor day weekend I left...

Re: Repower question:: Maestro?
I appreciate the input guys. I am not necessarily looking for a lot more top end, just an easier cruising RPM which I would think the torque of a big block would give me as I should be able to spin a steeper pitch prop. That being said it sounds like the thing to do is just prep this extra 318 I hav...

Repower question:: Maestro?
I have been trying to send a pm to maestro but they seem to be stuck in my outbox, have tried 4 times.... So here is my question: I have been considering a repower with a 383, 454 or 502 chev but I am curious if I will see much for performance gains.... I like the idea of easy parts availability of ...

Wow, no takers on a 32 footer for 3500.00 huh? If I were closer i'd at least be coming to take a look.
