Re: Replacing seals in transmissions / 1989 32 Sedan
So.... Back again requesting advice. I had the yard mechanic pull our starboard tranny and it was sent to a shop for estimates on replacing seals and/or a complete rebuild. Ouch!! Seems to be an expensive proposition either way. They are estimating $1360 for just doing the seals (8 hrs of labor was ...

Re: Replacing seals in transmissions / 1989 32 Sedan
I spoke with the yard mechanic at Green Cove Springs where the boat is and he was on the boat looking at it. He has done the tranny removal and putting back in many times and stated the exact steps that have been discussed here (that parts reassuring). He says there used to be a shop that would do t...

Replacing seals in transmissions / 1989 32 Sedan
Good day all! For the past couple of seasons our port side tranny has had s small leak at what I believe is the rear seal. The boat has sat 10-11 months of the year the past 4 years while we are in Ohio. It leaks more the first couple of days we are cruising and then the leak slows. I am speculating...

Re: Help with info; data to choose a boat
Towing: We have both a 32 Sedan with twin engines and a 28 Express with a single engine. Love both boats! Buy one of each  Seriously though, we have trailered both boats. The 28 Express I’ve trailered multiples of times for trips ranging from 15 Miles up to about 100 miles with no issue. Techni...

Re: knowledge and advice sought on Seacrest houseboat performance/capability
yes John, this boat is still listed on POP Yachts. i would be interested to speak with Sorry Dog to get his insights if I could find him. Thanks for the input. The more I have considered this the more i feel that it likely would not be my best move on a couple of levels. Always thinking though! lol

knowledge and advice sought on Seacrest houseboat performance/capability
Good Day All! So....in the spirit of my mind going all over the place I would like to switch from my thread asking for advice on re powering to outboards on our 32 Sedan to a different topic. I have located what I believe to be a nice boat at a fair price that MIGHT be more appropriate for my wife a...

Re: Questions about desire to re power a 32 Sedan with outboards
Thanks for all of the good input.... I've been offline for a couple of weeks so slow to reply, but thanks for the thoughts. My biggest challenge in accomplishing a re power like this is that the boat in question in unfortunately not at my home port so I would be either traveling a long ways and obvi...

Re: 32 Sedan Adding Air Conditioning
sorry for the slow reply....I have been very busy the past couple of weeks. We have our (4) 6V batteries lined up in the engine compartment forward all the way against the fire wall. They fit there nicely.
