Re: Pertronix Distributor Test
Update on Pertronix distributor field test. Completed season #2 No issues with either Dist. Ran very well with easy starting. Examination showed only light corrosion. No corrosion on advance springs. A little penetrating oil and a wipe down and most was removed. Will be returning them to Pertronix f...

Re: Interior restoration
One of my hobbies is building Cedar Strip and stich and glue boats. I did an aft deck on another boat 15 years ago and used the same process I use on my builds. I used marine grade ply (regular would also work as well) Do not use exterior treated ply. Cut and pre-fit you deck Then coat all pieces wi...

Try Boat US. Have used their vinyl for many years. Last time was 10 years and going strong only slightly faded.

Re: Repower Discussion
We should all ask ourselves: "Do I want to go boating or do I want to work on a boat?" Which ever way works best is the way one should go.... Rebuilding or Crate engines bottom line it is an enjoyment factor... neither will significantly increase the value of a boat. For me.. when someone ...

Re: Most efficient cruising rpm?
Off plane best you will do on both engines is around 6 gph both engines @ 1600 rpms 8.5 mph-
One engine 3.5 gph @ 1600 7.2 mph
rough estimates
On plane 2400 expect 14-16 mph 6-7 gph per engine.
again rough est. based on fuel, water, waste, gear passengers etc;

Re: 1968 32 ' Marinette -Buy or run away ?
Eric is on the right track... Except.. getting permits etc for all those states is Expensive. Finding a legal road trailer for that haul will not be cheap. I had my M trucked in and the cost while not cheap ... it was no hassle and boat arrived in great shape. You could estimate a haul rate of aroun...
