Oh and what about forma gasket? should that be used with the exhaust gaskets?

Should I prep and paint exhaust manifold surface with prep and paint with 500 degree paint or go bare metal with the gasket?

Can someone tell me what this is. It crumbled when I tried to remove it. I am not sure what to ask for at the local part store or if it is marine specific? Its for a 318 Chrysler motor I am rebuilding and is part of the starter circuit. Any advise on where to get a replacement would also be helpful?

I bought a long block from Rapido Marine (http://www.rapidomarine.com/) this spring. Its not in the boat yet but price was good at 1700'ish and shipping was about 150 from florida to kentucky. I've had a few questions and was able to call and talk a person. So far so good.

I am putting a new oil pump on rebuilt 318 engine and the spec's say 35lbs. That sounds kind of light for something I really don't want to come loose once I have the engine back in the boat. I put some high temp lock tight on them. How tight do you guys recommend?

What oil pump should we be using for a rebuilt 318 marine engine? I am replacing a bad engine and the rebuild didn't come with an oil pump and I don't want to reused the old one. I see standard and high volume but wasn't sure which is more appropriate?

When you get more I would like to order enough for a 32 sedan. Bought my first Boat this summer and trying to get her fixed up. Can you post a link to your ebay site/store? I was not having luck finding it in a search.
