Re: A 60' Marinette ?
Got another email from Carl, a.k.a. Sorrydog. He sent some pictures of her after he and his son finished her. Compared to the current photo's, it makes the story even more heart wrenching. A lighted Lexan floor through the floor between the cat hulls to watch the fish ! SD GLASS FLR 2 DDA GREAT PIC....

Re: A 60' Marinette ?
I went ahead & emailed Sorrydog and he sent a reply just this evening. First off he would like to say "Hello" to old friends here. He also asked for the link to Boats.com so he could see her. Sadly he explained the story as to why the boat is where it is now. He told me he and his son ...

A 60' Marinette ?
Was cruising the web and found an M on Boats.com. At first glance I dismissed this one as a Marinette Marine ship, but upon looking at the ad, it is in fact a 60' Marinette Aluminum Cruiser. It has a catamaran hull with two Detroit Diesel engines. It has two levels, the upper consists of the helm, l...

Re: Custom rear top fabrication
I emailed back & forth with John in Louisville Ky (his boat is named the Knockerfellers) and he sent me pictures of the building of the top. He performed this while repainting his boat, and yes it not only looked great, but looked factory since he used the roof off another M. I'd love to do the ...

Re: Options for changing out my fuel tanks.
My 37' is the same, two massive fuel tanks mounted longitudinally, half under the rear deck, half under the cabin. I've looked at some 32's that have a single tank mounted width way's, where then gen normally sits on the 37', so I'm sure it could be done. But I know from looking at mine (also a 1975...

Re: Rudder Linkage 101
I did the same on mine last winter, while in dry dock. Also did the stainless steel rudders as well. A great guy in Dayton Ohio has a machine shop that did my rudders for $300.00. And yes, with the deck in place, it's physically painful !! Mine is a 3 line Hynautics. Put in the new rudders, with new...

Re: Gray marine 401 engine
No, The little Al engines were the ones Buick used in the smaller Skylark. That monster is the big car engine they used in the Electra 225's. May be hard to find parts for, but the thing is a "tank", pretty bulletproof.

Re: Bow Hatch
Yes, same here. Par for the course I think. M's are like a cold beer can on a hot day, they get wet. Never really thought about a solution, just lay a towel on the v-berth when not in use. Anyone else?
